Where to even begin to describe how wonderful it was to have Olga be apart of our pregnancy and birthing journey! We were on the tail end of dealing with a very stressful period in our lives and entering a huge new, exciting and scary chapter. I knew I wanted a doula to help and guide us into this scary new world and in Olga we found all that we had hoped for and more, not that we even knew what we were looking for! From the first conversation I felt such an ease with her. She listened and responded with such honesty, understanding and warmth. She encouraged me to pursue the birth I wanted while also helping me to have realistic expectations. She educated us without overwhelming us. She held our hand and comforted us while still making us feel our inner strength. As a first time mom there are so many things you think you know or don’t even realise is a thing that exists. Not for a moment with her did I feel unheard, dismissed or treated as stupid (which was one of my biggest concerns). I’m so thankful for her guidance and for the inner strength she helped me find when I was doubting my own capabilities. When it came down to the big day, Olga was there as soon as we needed her and she fit in with our needs so intuitively. She communicated so well between my midwives, my husband and myself. When there was a moment that I was going to be seperated from my husband she advocated for me and made sure he could be there with me to hold my hand. She captured beautiful memories that would have been completely forgotten had she not been there. And she did it all for 20+ hours with a smile on her face and a constant aura of calm. I am forever grateful for her and I will sing her praises a 100 times over to anyone that will listen. If you’re considering having a doula with you, Olga is truely such a gem, having her with us was a gift and a pleasure.
